Recently, the operating launch ceremony of 57 Yutong school buses was held in Urumqi, capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which is also the -batch operation of school buses in northwest China.

Since September this year, the Midong district government of Urumqi has begun to invest 10 million yuan per year to purchase the school bus service and try to solve the commuting problem of more than 5,000 primary and secondary school students from 12 schools in seven towns and villages.

"We always have strict requirements on vehicle brands and models, especially the safety issue. In the last three years, we have investigated the operating situation of school buses in Gansu province, Shaanxi province and other areas, and done a lot of analysis. Featuring safety, reliability and low failure rate, Yutong school buses finally became our choice of priority,” said Tu Yuping, president of Xinjiang Siping Trading Company, the operator of these school buses.  

It is particularly worth mentioning that Yutong had made some specific adaption for these school buses delivered to Xinjiang, for instance, add independent heating device, increase the battery capacity, equip preheating system for the air intake of engine, add ABS, etc. As the bus brand in China, Yutong is the first one in China’s bus industry to develop and promote school buses and is also the drafting unit of the national school bus standards, thus becoming the synonym of Chinese school buses.

Meanwhile, the Xinjiang Siping Trading Company also conducted a rigorous selection on the qualifications of school bus drivers and held regular trainings for these drivers, thus making their overall qualifications, safety awareness, morality awareness and so on to reach a very high level. In addition, the whole operating process of the school buses is monitored to further improve the operating safety of the vehicles.
